JR5 reports

What it tells you

These reports show you the number of monthly requests for each title and year of publication directly from a selected publisher over a selected period of time in the COUNTER JR5 report format.

How to run the report

  1. Log in to the portal and go to on Journals (R4)
  2. Select JR5 reports
  3. Select publisher (NOTE: there are only JR5 reports available for certain publishers, see YOUR DATA (R4) for details
  4. Select date range by month and year
  5. Click Generate

How to interpret the data

The JR5 report may contain multiple lines for each title as the report specifically counts accesses of that title depending on the year of publication. So you may see entries for many different individual years or time periods. Where a time period is denoted as "0000", this means the year of publication hasn't been stated in the report. "9999" refers to articles in press. You may also see entries for time periods up to 1995, or for 1995-1999, according to guidelines provided by COUNTER.

If you have added details of your core (subscribed) titles, these will be highlighted by a star in the table. Titles included in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) will also be highlighted with the DOAJ symbol. DOAJ symbol
